If I remember correctly #40 was discussed in another thread, you can look for it below.

#70 is a little tricky, but look at the section of the book that it is in 10-1. Then look at the penalties for that section.

That should help you out.

still not finding #70, could it be false because of a injury or false because it is a direct t?

False

because it is a TEAM Technical, Not assessed as an indirect to the Head Coach. (See Chart on Page 73)

Cool #40 - part deux

Concur with BktballRef....it is goaltending. The violation causes the ball to become dead immediately. Refer to 4.22 "Goaltending occurs.....or an opponent of the free thrower touches the ball outside the cylinder during a free-throw attempt."

...and to include...
Rule 6-7 Art. 9
The ball becomes dead, or remains dead, when:
...A violation, as in 9-2 through 13, occurs

9-12 GOALTENDING
1. If the violation is at the opponents's basket, the opponents are awarded one point if during a free throw...

10-3-10
...additional penalty for goaltending during a free throw.
Two free throws plus ball for division-line throw-in.

Now, memorize this procedure to the T...you never know when it might actually happen.
