Question on our pre season test:
Jumper A-1 taps the ball which hits the official. A-1 then catches the ball. Official rules legal play. Is the official correct. I say yes since hitting official is like hitting the floor but I cannot find rule reference--any help wold be appreicated. |

Hitting the official is the same as hitting the floor. And since the jump ball ends when it hits the floor, the restriction against the jumper grabbing the ball has ended as well.
If you really wanted to be cute, you could claim that the official is a non-jumper. Same result
