Red face

In the opening game of the season tip-off tournament: My partner was the R. After the toss and team control, I headed for the L. I look out and notice my parnter holding his cheek. He caught an elbow by the jumper after the tip and was bleeding profusely. We stopped play (for 20 minutes). He came back and finished the game, later receiving 9 stitches. Some people suggested that if he were a "two hand tosser", this could have been avoided. I'm not sure and I'm a one hander myself. In any case, I have the press photo if anyone would like to see it, email me! Happy Holidays and good luck with your hoop seasons. - DW

A great example on why you do not have the whistle in your mouth when making the toss.

One handed or two handed. It doesn't matter, sometimes you are going to get hit.
