That doesn't mean a thing. NC has many state interpretations and rules that we follow. None of them are posted on the NCHSAA website.

And yes folks, any state can modfiy any rule they like. If it's an issue, then the NFHS can take that state's seat on the rules committee.

I think the coach may not be granted a timeout during that 30 second replacement period. Maybe that's all.

I believe that the coach cannot make any other substitutions before replacing the DQed player.

I'm not sure about NCAA rules, but I do not believe that is the case for NFHS play. I think that other substitutions are fine as long as the DQ'd player's sub reports before the 30 seconds expire.
