Does anyone have a digital copy of the Part 1 test? I'm not looking for the answers, just the actual test itself. Our state association doesn't send out Part 1 after the first year of registration.

Thanks!

I'm trying to register with a private school league that requires its officials to take Part I of the National Federation Rules Exam, open book. The league I've been doing the past four years is a test developed by our state coordinator of officials. Anyway, from researching the private league's website, the test and answer sheet is due Nov. 1. I don't know how to obtain the test. How do other leagues work with obtaining and taking the test? Do I get it from the NFHS or association? The private league assignment secretary hasn't followed through on sending me registration info, so I don't know what to think. He said he needed officials, and I thought it would be a good complement to my usual high school schedule.

BktBallRef, if you wouldn't mind faxing me that test I would appreciate it. Perhaps I can work on it until I track down the assignment secretary.

Tony: Sent you a request for the fax but not sure it actually went thru. It shows up in the listing of topics, but not in the thread itself.

For those of you, like me, with no fax machine access, you can go to http://www.efax.com and sign up fro a free account where you can receive faxes via email. That's what I just did, cause I remembered this from awhile ago. It's FREE SERVICE to receive, but your number will NOT be local to you. You can get a number in your local area if you pay the extra fees. You do have to download a program that's about 4 MB to view the faxes you receive. It took me just under 3 minutes to download on my DSL connection.
Where on the site do you go to sign up for the free account?? Every time I tried to sign up, I had to pay.

Most computers are capable of receiving faxes.

Go to "Start->Programs->Accessories->Communications->Fax->Fax Console

It will open a wizard to configure it for you machine. You can set it for auto answer or manual answer.

This is present on the last few versions of windows. If you don't see it there, you can install it from your windows installation CD under other windows components.

I use my computer all the time to directly send and receive faxes. If I wish to receive one, I can tell it to answer the phone manually (or I can set it for automatic). I just have make sure I don't leave auto on otherwise my voice calls will get answered by the fax modem.
