I had a big AA Conference game the other night where a kid from the home team gets a pretty nasty cut on the head that requires stitches. This occured during the first couple of minutes of the 2nd quarter. They stitch him up there at the gym and by the 4th quarter he's got a new uniform (the other had blood on it) and was ready to play. I was the Referee in this game, so I reported the new number to the official book and to the other coach (out of courtesy) and let him back in.

My question is...Should I have made him have a doctor's note before coming back in? The only think I can find on this situation is for unconscious players.

Thanks

Wesley

You did fine. You didn't even have to ask the other coach.

Thumbs up

No problem letting player back in. As long as he was concious through the whole ordeal.
