Mark --
Did you see OC girls play at all last year with Buffy Hummel? I admit to a certain amount of prejudice against OC which I won't go into the details of, but they went way up in my estimation when I saw them in the State Tournament. They actually DID do a fair amount of signing on the floor, and still managed to be as great as they are. What'd they get, third or fourth? And I learned later that the interpreter who stood in their huddles and translated for Buffy was paid by the team budget, not by Buffy. That's class in my book! None of this made it look any less amusing... |

This one seems to come up every so often. THIS IS NOT GOLF. Noise is part of the game experience. If kids can't handle noise, they might want to try another sport, badminton maybe?
Noise is part of the game. If we start limiting how loud the players are, what's next? Telling the crowds that they can't cheer too loudly because it may distract the players? Kids need to buck up and play. If it is too distracting for you, find a new hobby or get some earplugs. |

I agree with Kelly. Guys and gals, we need to get over this. Unless it's taunting, baiting or profane, you have no authority to call anything. It's just, as Padgett always says when this topic arises, annoying. But it's not illegal.

I can't imagine what you might have against their program. I've always admired Brad. It takes a great coach and a great program to take a public school from that district and make it the number one ranked team in the nation as they were twice a few years ago. Why don't you email me and tell me "off line"? |
