Anyone ref in these? You can get them customized. I was at Eric Harmon's camp this past weekend at Purdue University and several offcials use these and say they will never go back. They stated that they are extremely comfortable and that a little bit of white or silver on the shoe is permitted now.

Just wondering if anyone else calls games in these and what their opinion is.

White or silver permitted? Not in NFHS the last I looked.
If you buy these I would figure out how to get rid os the white or silver.

I for one think that we need to stay with an all black shoe. If there were a variation it would be because there was a standard shoe. Oh wait the NBA tried that and 1/2 the officials would not wear the CONS and well....

You can damn near get them solid black when you customize them, and the little bit of color is like a smoke or dark silver color.

I've heard that college coordinators are much more lenient that high school assignors. In fact, people have told me that high school assignors in this area (Columbus, OH) don't like air bubbles.

I have never used Shox, but have seen a good number of officials using them. All of the officials I have spoke with, told me that they really like them and will continue to use them until they can't anymore.

I use the Nike Air Barrage's with the visible air pocket in the heel. I really like as they are extremely comfortable to wear and run in.

Highly recommend the Shox. The Shox columns, heel plate, and swoosh outline were in silver. Guess I'm fortunate not to have commissioners that worry about these trivial issues. Wore the high top basketball models this past season at both levels. Wearing the low cut running models during the summer. Running shoes don't provide the lateral support that basketball shoes provide, so I would think about that. If you have weak ankles or have rolled them in the past, maybe consider the basketball models.

Thanks to all that replied, I am going to the store tonight to find the right size for me so I can order a pair from Nike Shox ID. I was going to order two pairs of patent leather (I already have one), but I think I ma going to try the Shox out first.
