i didn't think so.
the player was still moving. one of his feet was in the air, and they still called a charge on ND!
oh and as for carries, iverson makes me wonder about the rules sometimes...

Ilya, I saw that play and sh#$ my pants when the official somehow came up with a PC foul on that play!! For one, the SH player was already falling to the ground when the contact occurred, and two, the ND player's torso was ahead of the SH player. The official COULDN'T have gotten the ND player for a push off with the right hand because it was NEVER even extended!!

I can't stand the defense that is falling down, as they are trying to move in front...and expect to get the PC foul...

IT'S A BLOCK!!

Okay, I get to brag here. I called one of these on Saturday afternoon, and the coach never said one word of complaint although he had been ragging on my partner all game, and had ragged on a different partner in an earlier game. He really should have been thrown out, I suppose, but somehow I managed him and even with this emotional call, and a moving defender (PC always brings a roar, doesn't it?) I never heard one word. I credit my incresing coach-management skill. Now if I could just figure out exactly WHAT I did right...

Ilya, that was a great call.

They had one camera angle that split the players, the guard clearly used his free arm to "create" some space with a push. The defender might have over glorified it, but, he had position and it still was a good call in my opionion.

Your entitled to your opinion, Brian. But mine (and Ilya's) is definitely different! When did you see the ND player's arm extend? From what I saw, if the arm extended AT ALL, it happened AFTER the SH player was falling to the floor...and the falling was NOT a result any arm extension. The falling occurred because the defender "chested up" to the ND player as he was trying to dribble diagonally past SH player. And BTW, did you even notice the SH player already leaning backward to fall down as the ND player's path was illegally cut off?

I thought it was a bad call BEFORE the instant replay...and I thought it was a bad call AFTER the instant replay.

To me, he was leaning a little, but I thought the arm gave the needed nudge to create the space and push the SH player down. Either way, he should not given the official anything to call in that situation. You know the defense was not going to foul, unless they are really stupid, or poorly coached.

I guess you must be an Irish fan, too bad they don't play the Boilers on a regular basis.
