I know he's a hockey official, but he is one of professional sports finest officials. Personally, I think he would rank in the top 3 of all professional officials.
He did the lines at Sat's Cgy/TB game and all reports say that because he is retiring after this year, at age 58 (!) and 33 (!!!) years in the NHL, that game was his last. He has never missed an assignment in his NHL career and is the longest serving official currently on staff. I really hope that they make a classy move and also give him the lines for game 7. For an official of his quality and dedication, he deserves that assignment. |

Nothing like a Tutu to make ya feel confortable and relaxed!
JR, I'm doing fine. Been playing a lot of softball and skipped the usual spring AAU. Slight cooking took place at the end of the season. I did recently take up officiating wrestling but the venues are kind of intertesting as you can see below.... Larks - Anyone know where I can find waterproof wrestling ref gear? |

JR - My last "test" of what you would need to cover such a situation would lead me to believe that water may be a better solution than air.
Maybe one of those older water based fire extinguishers located at the table? Of course, this was a limited test and of course just a "feeling" I have.....errr had.... er somethin.... Larks [Edited by Larks on Jun 9th, 2004 at 03:33 PM] |
