I know he's a hockey official, but he is one of professional sports finest officials. Personally, I think he would rank in the top 3 of all professional officials.

He did the lines at Sat's Cgy/TB game and all reports say that because he is retiring after this year, at age 58 (!) and 33 (!!!) years in the NHL, that game was his last. He has never missed an assignment in his NHL career and is the longest serving official currently on staff.

I really hope that they make a classy move and also give him the lines for game 7. For an official of his quality and dedication, he deserves that assignment.

For all you newbies, say hello to our own Larks:

Nothing like a Tutu to make ya feel confortable and relaxed!

JR, I'm doing fine. Been playing a lot of softball and skipped the usual spring AAU. Slight cooking took place at the end of the season.

I did recently take up officiating wrestling but the venues are kind of intertesting as you can see below....

LOL! True story- they had a story in the papers a few years ago about one of the WWF women wrestlers who actually blew out an implant during a match. That's gotta smart. I think. Hmmmmmm. Is that covered under our rules? Call a TO, get it fixed before the TO is over, and the player can stay in the game? You know, keep a bicycle pump at the bench, or sumthin'?

JR - My last "test" of what you would need to cover such a situation would lead me to believe that water may be a better solution than air.

Maybe one of those older water based fire extinguishers located at the table?

Of course, this was a limited test and of course just a "feeling" I have.....errr had....

er somethin....

Remember those "pump-it-up" shoes that Reebok had out years ago? Maybe someone could put out "pump-it-up" boobs. Could be a big market out there. Well, not in mens basketball, of course, but.......
