I understand your feelings, but this often makes me relucant to bring up questions. This makes me less likely to feel part of this forum. Is that what you guys want? To serve a narrow core of people who have been here for eons and have read every thread?
Tee, I don't think anybody was trying to say the question shouldn't be brought up. But for those of us who did read the other threads, we're just having a bit of fun with this one. Sorry if my admittedly terse response was taken as impatience or frustration.

I don't often pay to attend camp. I find that if you buy a whistle for $250 (or so), the head clinician will throw in camp for free.

According to the card that came with the whistle, you should soak it in a vinegar solution.

If you soak it in vinegar, it will taste like vinigar. Believe me, i've done this before. It tasted awful for 2 weeks, then i soaked it in mouthwash, and it turned out minty fresh.

Won't clean the whistle, but the whistle WILL smile and thank you.

Hot water and a little "clorox cleanup" works great!

I don't say this to offend- but to possibily make this forum more accessible for "non-regulars".
I'm with you, Tee.
Helping a new/young official/fan/coach with an answer is a good deal.

Those threads aren't there anymore. I'm bumping this one in case someone else has this question...like I did.

Thanks for the input, folks.
