I am a young official writing a research paper on violence that occurs during sporting events. Can anyone give me any instances of violent actions that have been committed towards you? It can be by either parents or players during or after games.

A complete answer to your inquiry would fill up an entire message board. I suggest you check with the National Association of Sports Officials (NASO) at their website http://www.naso.org. They keep a database of incidents. Bob Still there can help you.

www.gmcgriff.com has an entire section dedicated to violence in sports if you want first hand accounts of incidents.
