Officials take alot of heat for a call here and and call there. Let's give this young guy some credit for what I felt was a GREAT no-call.
Let's also give credit to his partner who T'd up one of the most deserving coaches in the country.

I'll give his partner credit for T'ing this chronic whiner up, but I wish someone would encourage these guys to run him out of the gym. If he didn't get tossed last night then ZERO coaches in the country should ever get tossed. On TV, it looked like he never quit getting on this crew. Wasn't it Valentine that complained that HIS partners (Neal? and Hightower?) did not help him with the Knight fiasco. Well, where the hell was he last night?

I don't remember Valentine working last night. Did he?

I always wonder -- what does it take to get a second T? A Knight-like meltdown? Seems that coaches get the first T it gives them MORE license to go off cause they know a second one probably won't come.

Yes, Valentine worked the game.

Karl Hess gave K the T.

Ray Natili was the third official.

From I've been told by D1 guys, once the coach gets his T, they're going to let him vent. You're not likely to see any D1 coach get anoher anytime shortly after getting the first. They seem to consider the T to cover whatever was said before and whatever is said after the T.

I didn't really pay attention to what went on in the 2nd half.

I watched a few minutes of the second half, but I was paying more attention to an NHL game I was watching, to be honest.

Thanks. Can't believe I didn't notice Valentine, though.

Some in here have better 'eyes' for watching our games than their own. If you weren't there, don't be so quick to judge.

I have never been so narrow-visioned as to never watch something outside my area. Off the ball doesn't mean you never see what is happening near the ball.

BigGref - where is this in the rule book? Isn't a slap, a slap?

Yabut, a slap isn't <b>always</b> a foul! Look in NFHS rule 10-6-1- <i>"He/she shall not contact an opponent with his/her hand unless such contact is only with the opponent's hand while it is on the ball and is incidental to an attempt to play the ball"</i>. This rule has been in a long, long time, Red. No foul if you slap a hand while it's on the ball.
