timeout before technicals are shot

high school varsity game: coach gets wacked for unsportsmanlike....can either team then request a timeout before we shoot the technical foul shots?? if you have the answer to this please reference the rule for me...thanks

Sure they can. It's no different than any other FT situation.

Look under the rule that lists when TOs can be granted -- to either team when the ball is dead.

Rule 5-8-3b is the rules reference allowing the TO.
