Personally, I don't view being "lazy" as the issue here. For me it's a matter of using proper (NFHS) mechanics as expected of us, and also being on the "same page" as my partner. Sure, there are a lot of accepted mechanics in other codes (NBA, NCAA mens, NCAA womens) and they may very well trickle down to NFHS eventually. But, as of today the wide bounce (as discussed) is not a NFHS mechanic. When you have one partner using it, and one partner not, I think it is awkward (they keep doing that little dance). College officials should not expect HS officials to adapt to the college mechanics in a HS game. IMO
