Following a time out team A breaks huddle with only 4 players (unintentionally). Play resumes, Team B scores, Team A takes ball out of bounds, heads back down the floor and then A5 returns to the floor. A5 was a player on the floor prior to the time out.

You have a T on A5 for entering the court illegally (without being beckoned) if it is recognized before the ball becomes live following the first dead ball. By rule.

Counting players will eliminate this problem, but sometimes it does happen.

Under NFHS rules it is a TEAM technical foul. The correct case book play is 10.1.9, rules book cite 10-1-9, and the proper reason for the T is that the team failed to have all five players return to the court at approximately the same time following a time-out.

Worked with a guy last night that said he has Fla/Miami this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. BTW, we still have snow on the ground here in northern VA -- been there since late Jan.
