I know that the style todays kids are going with is to wear their shorts around their ankles, but i had a game a few weeks ago where a kid came on to the court with his shorts literally around his knees. I told him that in order to play, he must wear his shorts at his waist (i know there's a rule pertaining to this but i can't think of it offhand). I do not believe this was unreasonable, but appearantly he did, and so did his parents. He ended up sitting on the bench for a quarter until he realized that he should pull up his pants, so he could play. After watching a few other officials doing a game where a kid was wearing his shorts extremely low, i'm just wondering if i did the right thing.
What would you have done in this situation???
