As much as we want to call a perfect game each and every time we don the stripes, it will not happen... Having realized this, I have learned to pass through (mentally) a "blown call" a lot quicker than when I first started officiating.

"Moving on" is a necessity or your second-thinking will compound your problems. If you continually rehash the "bad" call you are putting you and your partner in a deeper "funk" and will be even further out if another incident occurs.

BOTTOM LINE: SLOW DOWN , deal with the situation as best as you can at that time and then move on.

AND THEN come here so you can share your "learning experience!"
