As much as we want to call a perfect game each and every time we don the stripes, it will not happen... Having realized this, I have learned to pass through (mentally) a "blown call" a lot quicker than when I first started officiating.

"Moving on" is a necessity or your second-thinking will compound your problems. If you continually rehash the "bad" call you are putting you and your partner in a deeper "funk" and will be even further out if another incident occurs.

BOTTOM LINE: SLOW DOWN , deal with the situation as best as you can at that time and then move on.

I found in the past if I start thinking about a missed call or a bad call then a few seconds later you miss another on and before you know it the game is out of hand.

I have learned to just drop the previous mistake and they best way to correct it is not let it affect the rest of your game. You owe it to yourself and the players.
