ok, this didn't happen, but it ALMOST did...i want to know your input...

a12 is fouled by b25 in the frontcourt. after the foul, a12 swings his elbows in a manner due a 'new' violation (no 'old' T). the original foul by b25 constituted a 1-1 situation.

what is call? we have to shoot the 1-1, but after that????

After that, nothing. It's only illegal to swing your elbows excessively when the ball is live. If he contacted an opponent, you have a technical foul, possibly flagrant. If he doesn't contact anyone, you have nothing.

Would you call a travel after a foul if A12 started walking with the ball toward the free throw line? Think of swinging the elbows in the same light.

After that there is nothing because of the dead ball except a few well chosen words to the participants that the officiating crew will take care of business and that sort of activity is uncalled for-where there is smoke there is fire.

Amen to the well-chosen words. I used a few last night, and they saved one player.

I agree with what has been said about the few choice words.

However, if the player is swinging wildly after the whistle, depending on the situation you can whack him. T's are deadball and non contact foulos that are unsportsmanlike. If you think that the players actions were unsportsmanlike T em up. If it were a monir swing, telling them you willdeal with it may be appropriate. If it is out of control, get em!
