Did I miss one? Square (new) Backboard On a rebound the ball is slapped up high - to the very top of the board and begins this amazing balanced, slow roll horizontally across the board. Players in the lane freeze as the darn thing looks almost suspended in mid air. I start thinking rules - three seconds? (no, no possession) and as I refocus - the ball falls right down off the top and through the goal. I know there is some "brace" up on the top of the board but the ball moved freely. Never seemed to me (trail) to be supported, lodged or even in contact. All backboard. Score 2. Probably never see this again - Right call? |

Thats rights, no possession, as long as it doesnt role over the back of the backboard or hit any supports, then its still a live ball. I believe it is explained in Rule 7-2c. But dont know about the scoring 2, did it actually go in the basket?
