I am looking for the proper position/procedure for pre-game prior to the 12 minute mark.

Is the R or U across from the home team?

Diagram 1 of the "Officials Manual", shows R.

Page 16, 103(a) indicates U.

Also, between quarters - What protocol/procedure is followed for 2-person?

R has Visitors, picture is wrong. U corresponds with U1.
U2 is just that other official helping out R.

There is a 60 second "intermission" between quarters. Thus, ...the blocks.

This is not a biggie, and thanks for your reply - but:

I was referencing Diagram 1 for 2-person. There is no U1 or U2.

I will go with what you said - Referee on Visitor Side.

Yes, do that.
My point (not made very well) was that U and U1 both have the home team, and that both Diagrams, 1 and 2, were incorrectly drawn.
