Leather Luster warning

I had a problem with Leather Luster drying on my new Converse Whistle shoes. I called both Leather Luster and Converse and they both confirmed that Leather Luster will not work on this shoe because of the synthetic leather used to produce this shoe. Kiwi Parade Gloss did do a nice job but it isn't maintenace free.

I found for my Converse Run n Refs (the originals, not run n ref II)Leather Luster works great. I also find Griffin's liquid polish to work well on my other shoes.
