Are the Men also going tableside this year? I got an emergency call to officiate a Men's game tonight, and more than one (though none of them work college) official told me at an Association meeting last night that the Men are now using the "calling official goes tableside" mechanic that the Women use.

But, my research is not finding an indication of any such thing. Is the College Men's mechanic that calling official goes tableside or opposite the table?

HELP!!!!! Thanks in advance!

Thanks, Bob

Do you have a reference? My search in the officiating section at NCAA.org turned up nothing. Thanks!

Other than the manual, I meant

I have not yet received my ordered manual. I was hoping someone had an Internet link -- my search on the Internet has so far been fruitless.

You might look at my state's website to find a Powerpoint Presentation that covers some mechanics. But the NF does not have a place on the web where they give their mechanics online. You have to buy the books in order to do that.

Peace

NFHS -- go away from the table, and switch on all fouls.

For the most part you could try to get the mechanics of three-man NCAA from FIBA by downloading it at http://www.fiba.com because of an announcement they made.

When FIBA announced three-man officiating, they specifically stated, with the recommendation from Hank Nichols (a member of the World Technical Commission), NCAA Men's mechanics for three-man officiating will be used. The FIBA statement is listed below.

The NCAA three-man officiating mechanics shall be used and will become part of the Referees' Manual.

http://www.fiba.com/asp_includes/dow...sp?file_id=217

So it should be easy to find the three-man officiating mechanics because college men three-man is universally recognised.
