It just doesn't get any better than this, knowing what to do and doing it. Man, it feels great. I even wrote words to that immortal classic from My Fair Lady...
I could have reffed all night, I could have reffed all night, And still have reffed some more. I could have watched off-ball And made a thousand calls I'd never called before. I didn't know it could be so exciting, Why, all the night, my feet did fly! I... on..ly... know when they Began to run their play I could have reffed all night... All night. Although now that I think about it, there's nothing in that song about how much my feet are going to hurt in the morning! I did 8 10-minute stop time quarters, with only one minute between, until I begged for mercy after Q 6. Still, it was fun! Felt great, got one good player control foul, no defenders stepped on the OOB line, my new shirt feels fantastic, new pants look terrific. It was so nice to put all my personal problems aside for a little while and work on something bigger than myself, and think about something besides the daily grind. Ah, great season in the making, I'm anticipating great things.
