Agreed.
Even though it took several people telling me to take the whistle out of my mouth on the jump ball -- it actually to an elbow to the chops and a bloody lip to make me do it. |
Did the fact that you had a plastic whistle in your mouth change the results? I almost think this 'get the whistle out of your mouth during a jumpball' thing is a holdover from the days of metal whistles (and peas). A metal whistle would likely chip a tooth if you were hit... not sure I would see chipped tooth from a plastic whistle... perhaps but would it really have more to do with the elbow rather than anything to do with the whistle?
I still spit mine out but wonder why everytime I do it. |
