No More Offensive Goaltending ???
Anybody remember this dumpster fire from ten months ago.
https://forum.officiating.com/basket...ml#post1054278 Well, according to the latest issue of IAABO Sportorials magazine, IAABO has decided to broach the situation. Goaltending: An offensive or defensive player who touches the ball outside the cylinder during a free-throw attempt commits goaltending. If an opponent illegally touches the ball, the free thrower is awarded one point and the offender is charged with a technical foul. If a teammate of the free throw er illegally touches it, the goal does not count and the offender is charged with a technical foul. The offended team is awarded two free throws and the ball for a division-line throw-in. This revision prevents the offensive team from gaining an unfair advantage during free-throw attempts.
