They are appropriate for basketball and if they are attached properly, they shouldn't fall off, like the original aglets that came with the laces. I bought replacement aglets for my summer "boat shoes" and they stayed on all summer.

Ahh, so "almost impossible to fall off" and they "shouldn't fall off" .....just like the OP item. It too is designed in such a way as to be almost impossible to fall off and it too, shouldn't fall off.
Indeed, when it becomes more of a larger problem, then it will probably be addressed by our "local listings".
