Question from our study guide: (paraphrased) A specific procedure is used to resume play after a timeout. This is called the resuming play procedure. In a moment of temporary insanity I put true. WHAT WAS I THINKING???? It's the resumption of play procedure. Next question: A multiple throw is a succession of free throws by the same team. Lemme see. Multiple throws? Is this by the same team or do they have to be by the same player? Are they trying to trick me..........again? I grit my teeth and put true. Right.
Let me get this straight. Theoretically, missing these two questions might cost me a certified rating. Give me a break. The expression "excess baggage" comes to mind.

A quick look at last year's rules book reveals that it was called "Resuming-play procedure." See 4-37. I think you have a right to be ticked. BTW you forgot the hypens, too! |

Check out the 03-04 book 4-37 Resumption-of-play procedure. Yes, it still has hyphens. Now the question is would this constitute a wrong answer or is it a case of resuming, resumption, whatever.

Ah, yes, I remember seeing this group's study guide on the net last year and thinking, "Holy smokes, even I'm not this anal!" I think it was something like 400 very detailed questions, but I got through most of it before I got a headache. Is your study guide up this year?

Yes, it's at the same adress. It's been shortened to 275 this year with the same type of BS.
For example: At the start of the game, neither team can provide a deeply pebbled ball. Ruling: Play game, report this situation to assignment secretary. After late night study session last night we could not come up with a definitive answer for that one. So what do you do, use common sense? Barry |
