NCAA-M Team Foul

Team B is in the Bonus. Team A has control of the ball and is called for a Pushing Foul (Team Control Foul). Does Team B shoot Free Throws?
Per NFHS rules, Team B WOULD NOT shoot free throws.
With about 1:10 remaining in the Clemson v Baylor. Clemson completes a Throw-in. A Clemson player has control of the ball at the Free Throw line. A Baylor player knocks the ball out from the hands of the Clemson player. Clemson player fouls the Baylor player while going for the ball. Under NFHS rules, Baylor does not shoot free throws

There's a difference in NCAA-M for a "loose ball" foul where they still shoot free throws. This was one of those.

It is actually a loose ball foul by definition. The NCAA changed the rule a few years ago and said to call those and shoot the FTs.

Peace

Why? Because about five NCAA tournaments ago several crews screwed this up and did as described in the OP. Most of those were noticed by posters here and pointed out on this forum. After the tournament the NCAA brass must have been embarrassed that their top officials couldn’t get this correct and simply changed the rule.

I do remember there were some mess-ups by crews specifically in the NCAA Tournament which I am sure helped the changing of the rule. But their remedy was to add a "loose ball" foul element to it like the NBA and just shoot the FTs now. I do not think it is that hard to do with the original rule, but apparently, some did not know the rule.

Peace
