As twenty-five year middle school coach, if I spent a minute (or thirty seconds) diagramming a full court man to man press, or full court zone trap, with specific defenders on specific sides and in specific spots, knowing which offensive players were left handed, or right handed, I would certainly be quite upset if the officials allowed the offensive team to move the disposal inbound from one side of the lane to the other.

In Oregon, we modified the NHFS mechanic to allow the trail to bounce the ball across the key on a backcourt throwin. The caveat is that if it appears there will be pressure and the spot is more than a few feet outside the lane line extended, force the rotation...we don't want someone bouncing the ball 20' in such cases.
