Chantilly Lace (The Big Bopper, 1958) ...

Chantilly lace and a pretty face, And a pony tail hangin' down ...

2005-06 NFHS Basketball Rules Interpretations
SITUATION 9: A1 recovers a loose ball on the playing court near the sideline, with his/her body entirely in bounds. However, A1's head is hovering out of bounds and his/her hair (which is in a long ponytail) is touching the floor, out of bounds. RULING: A1 is called for the out-of-bounds violation. (7-1-1; 7-1-2; 9-3-1)

I had this today, but is was on the division line. Team A had team control in their front court. Loose ball on the floor. A1 recovers the ball while on the floor, still in team control, but her pony tail, and just her pony tail, and nothing else, touches the backcourt. Backcourt violation.

Of course technically, and by definition, the division line isn't a boundary line, but I still called the backcourt violation.

I'll probably die before I see a similar play.
