The point of interruption is possession by B from the nearest spot, with the shot clock reset to 30 seconds (unless we're playing with a 24-second shot clock).

It may not have been funny but it was an obvious attempt at humor. And you need to learn how to tell the difference as you are dealing with people in this profession.

While the subtleties of the differences escape me, in terms of pure semantics, and rulebook language, this isn't true (although it's true in reality):

9-4-Penalty: ... awarded to the opponents for a throw-in from the designated out-of-bounds spot nearest the violation.

Of course maybe ilyazhito's "point of interruption" is an attempt at humor, in which case, never mind.

Of course, under these circumstances, A2 may not start a dribble since he's already lifted his pivot foot.

Of course, the rarest bird of all is the false multiple travel, second only to the multiple travel. Nobody ever sees this. Nobody has ever called it.

It's alright to let this thread die off, it's served its purpose.
