1. PC

2. Probably a travel but typically not called. Should be a 3 second violation though once the player regathers the ball and pump fakes left.

#1 - CC. Both feet down, facing defender in time. Just because you’re back peddling doesn’t mean there can’t be an instant where both feet are on the floor thus giving you LGP. Seems similar to another video posted recently where we debated 50/50 over where and whether LGP was established. This one seems a little clearer.

#2 - NCI. He travelled twice, actually. These quick ones tend to be passed on because it’s just hard to be sure in real time. C seemed like he was refereeing a defender at the precise moment of the first travel and I think he just missed it. Should have got the second one, though.

1. Block...but ever so close and you have to decide one way or the other on this one. While he had both feet down and was facing, it wasn't in the path when he did so, thus that didn't give him LGP. He jumped back into the path but there was contact before he got both feet down in the path to establish LGP.

2. Travel, but one often missed and one I probably miss every game.

1. PC - what does defense do wrong? Gets to spot before offense leaves the floor.

2. Travel but I've been told getting that stuff consistently is going to be your call you are not going to get very far.

#1) He had a decision to make. I wouldn't argue either way

#2) Understandable that the first travel gets missed as C probably cannot see when ball is released for dribble (Trail actually has the best look at that). 2nd travel is something I called quite often this past season, especially when the spin move is executed that slowly.

To me, the first travel is a travel that we shouldn't miss. I think it's quite obvious, coming at the beginning of a move/dribble. The second travel, on the spin, I'm less concerned with because it is splitting hairs and isn't called at any level at this point.

Define "gets to the spot".

I have him at the spot before the shooter is airborne, but I also have contact occurring before he "gets to the spot" so the airborne element of it is irrelevant.

I'm with a block on this too. I think if you look at the replay at 21 seconds into the video, the defender is moving towards the ball carrier when contact occurs.
