State office? Game suspensions? Nothing handed down? This should be treated like any other situation involving someone attempting to shoot in place of another. Because they look alike is irrelevant as far as the rules are concerned. Would you request something to be "..handed down.." if they were simply teammates and did not look alike? I doubt it. And there are many things that happen in games that are not caught, some far more egregious than this and state associations are certainly not involved. This is in the news merely b/c it involved identical looking players. If they were neither twins nor triplets, etc., then this thread would have never been started.
Refs kicked it, plain and simple. Everyone wants to point fingers at the players. What about the refs that allowed an incorrect player to shoot free throws and it went undetected by the whole crew, including the table? Yikes!
