1. Good PC. Good blocked shot.
2. Good block call. 3. Good illegal screen call. These plays are designed to disguise a screen but they are still screens and need to ball called as such. 4. It was a foul, but only because he was holding his shoulder. 5. Good call, still in the cylinder.

JD's NCAA videos seemed to suggest that cylinder plays are for 1) elbows that occur when defender is in cylinder and offensive player makes a basketball play (doesn't apply to this play because of no elbow), and 2) plays where the defender is straddling the offensive players pivot legs and restricting movement (also doesn't apply to this play). I think it's a foul, but a hit or a hold. |
