I don’t think NCAA-M gives a warning for failure to replace a disqualified player. The coach has 15 seconds and then it’s a Class B. Am I missing something?

It's one of the 4 DOG warnings. I just looked it up to confirm.

Failure to replace a DQ’d player and not being ready to play on the second horn following a TO are lumped together in NCAA-M for one of the four delay warnings.

So I guess if a coach pulled a stunt like this you’d warn him, then start another 15 seconds, then T if he still hasn’t put anyone in.

SEC officiating came under fire at Mizzou Arena | Eye on the Tigers | stltoday.com

Apparently Staley was complaining about the assigned officials before the game started:

"Staley went on to connect the assignment of the game's officials to her team’s NCAA Tournament implications. Staley contacted SEC coordinator of officials Sally Bell to lodge a complaint about the officials — before Sunday’s tipoff."

Her response to not replacing her player:

"“Beats me,” she said. “They told me I had to go. I didn’t say anything. I just sat there.”"

Video of Staley's press conference

This was on the link that someone else highlighted earlier. Look at her comments about the situation.

The "dirty" plays at that link are hard to get upset about. The angle is bad on the first one but you can see that gold 21 didn't have sufficient velocity to result in the reaction that occurred. That looks like a player who is playing like a victim and trying to garner sympathy from the officials. Just play.

The second one looks like a lot of the same. I believe they called a foul on gold 3 on that play, but the defender's reaction is over the top. Again, looks like a victim. Just play.

I think that a coach that tell their players they are being cheated and are the victim of bad calls is doing them a disservice. Just play your game.

Yeah, it is a foul if you hit the elbow or wrist before the follow through.

Peace

It was linked in an article previously linked and was a controversial call in the game the day before. Just thought I would share.

That shot was in the last 30 seconds and allowed UF to tie the game. And the shot missed long, so I'm not sure how much, if any, contact there was.

Said the guy from Missouri....

haha, yes. I have outed myself as a Missouri homer multiple times. There were some brutal calls/no calls down the stretch of the UF game. This was just one.

Having watched the game, there was no whistle on play #1 but the officials went to the monitor and determined the contact did not rise to the level an unsporting foul. There was a foul called against the Missouri player on the second video.

Do you have some timestamps so Jeff can post the plays?

From camera angle I can't tell if there is contact or not.

But this is why I officiate sideline oriented in the Trail. If he had dropped low along the sideline he would have had a clear view between defender and shooter.
