I think 7.5.2 is what I'm looking for, but of someone can direct me I would appreciate it.

A1 has the ball in the front court halfway between division line and three-point line. Meanwhile off ball A5 holds B5 on the low block near the end line.

Question: Where do you designate the throw in?

I guess I was asking for a case play or defined rule so I can prove this with black and white. I can't seem to find one. I'm looking in old case play books however.

Designated out-of-bounds spot throw-in nearest to where the ball became dead:

a. Any player of the team in control shall make the throw-in, as in 7-4-4.

b. After a double personal foul, as in 4-19-8a; a double technical foul, as in 4-19-8b; or a simultaneous foul, as in 4-19-10, play shall be resumed from the point of interruption. See 4‐36.

ART. 4

Designated out-of-bounds spot throw-in nearest the foul:

a. After a player-control foul, as in 4-19-6; a team-control foul, as in 4-19-7; or after a common foul prior to the bonus rule being in effect, as in 4-19-2, any player of the offended team shall make the throw-in.

b. After an intentional foul, as in 4-19-3, or a flagrant personal foul, as in 4-19-4, any player from the team to whom the free throws have been awarded shall make the throw-in.

7.5.2A and 7.5.7C (2014-2015 books -- what I have handy) have similar plays that explain the concept.

You could also compare rules 7-5-3 ("nearest the ball") and 7-5-4 ("nearest the foul") to see which apply to the specific situation.
