Final Four Officials Named

just saw that a local area based official made the finals today. Congratulations to all listed below:

Denham Springs-based college basketball official Mark Whitehead has been chosen to work his fifth NCAA Final Four, which will be played Saturday and Monday in NRG Stadium in Houston.

The other officials named Thursday were Roger Ayers, Jeff Clark, Brian Dorsey, Mike Eades, Tom Eades, John Higgins, Tony Padilla, Michael Stephens, and Terry Wymer.

What a great honor that is to be selected as a Final 4 ref; I can only imagine how "appreciated" those refs feel.

I have yet to be chosen to ref a state finals game; however, I would imagine that I would feel awesome/validated as they do.
But I must admit that I did experience a huge sense of "satisfaction/validation" when my assignor gave me a few late-season high profile games--so maybe this is my Nirvana.

Looking fwd to watching some fine national semi-finals games.

Old Tom had a great year and it appears that he is still getting up the court at a good level? The ones that count think so.

couldn't agree more-----you only get there if you are consistently good.
