The clock stops for 4-5 seconds after the "whistle" is heard. Have to believe the Lead blew some air into his whistle, I'm guessing inadvertently.
Guess that's why we have a rule for that.

I was at the game- at the under-12 timeout an announcement was made asking the fan in the lower section who blew the whistle during live play not to do it again or they'd be asked to leave.
So either this wasn't the IW we all (including my friend and I on the opposite baseline) thought it was, or this was the greatest IW conspiracy ever pulled off
