Video Request - BYU Pepperdine

Weird play starting with a no call on a possible PC and then a dunk that went in and out and went to a monitor review.

sequence starts at 1:40 left in the game.

I only caught a glimpse of the play while at a a friends and wasn't sure what happened, what the officials ruled, and if they got it right. As usual, the announcers had an opinion but I don't know if they knew either.

Thanks.

I do have a DVR of the play, someone want it posted. The ball as we know must pass through the net or become logged in the net.

That's what I thought. It didn't make sense to me that the officials went to the monitor though. What were they looking for? And as I said, I only caught a glimpse of the play.

i found the whole game here...

Play starts at 1:56:00 into the video, about the 1:40 second mark.

Regarding the monitor review, my guess is they were determining whether the goal was correctly/incorrectly counted under NCAA 11-2.1.b.3.

I think the Pepperdine player was smart to grab the rebound and head the other way on offense. Others may have taken the ball out thinking the dunk counted.

No PC at all. That player got his feet tangled up with the dribbler and just fell. The T was in perfect position to cover this.

No shot, clearly, as it didn't go in and stay in.

I'm thinking the dunk shouldn't count because of the travel.

Not enough for a PC IMO. No goal, ball never went through.

His left foot wasn't the pivot?

It was a travel. The "ha ha" may have been because they don't call that play travel at that level.

So I've been told. I fail to see the humor.

It's one thing to pass when the player has the wide open dunk. It's another when there is a defender near...as in this case.

I have no idea what this means.
