The PU was very conclusive on the call and he had the best viewpoint.

Why anyone would want to question this is beyond me.

It looked like he offered at it to me. Too close to ruin a perfecto over. Really, why would anybody question this call? I know it's not a criteria in OBR, but the bat went past the plate.

I read a study once where hundreds of major league attempts to check swing were studied with slo-mo and it was like 90% were deemed to be swings.

If I am PU on any game where the pitcher has a perfect game going and the 3rd strike on the last out is an attempt, there is a better than 90% chance I am going to call it a strike.

I also noted that the batter did not like the call, and had words about it. His teammates should drag him into a cold shower and teach him some class.

I've seen lesser swings called strikes.

I agree. I would not and am not questioning it. The only way I would is if the replay showed that he clearly did not offer...the replay does not show that.

Perfecto.

Perfecto.
The PU does not get to review replay. If I saw the same thing I am calling a swing.

I was shown this screenshot and it looks like an offer to hit the pitch.
