Cool Small help with choosing not expensive (amateur) pitch machine

I am playing whole life basketball, but decided to take one not expensive baseball pitch machine. Searched for pitch machines, and I can't understand such difference in prices, for example this model

costs about $400 and it is made by some brand ATEC. (cheapest that I found)

All other that I found are something like $1.000-$4.000, so I am not sure, is this $400 worthless (toy) or it is ok for amateur to use it few hours weekly? What parameters I need to look when choosing such machine? (some 'range' or 'power' or what?)

You probably don't realize it, the sub-forum is Baseball but the site is Officiating.com. We are baseball umpires, not baseball players.
