Scoring hits

On keeping stats, man on first, next batter hits to second base and the first base runner is out at second, batter safe at first. In scoring, dose it count as a hit for the batter who is safe at first?

Definetly not. That batter was responsible for the out, not R1. That's a "Fielder's Choice"... FC.
