Go to the web and look up Conneticut Baseball Approved Umpires Association.

Good group, I was with them for 5 years before I moved south.

Living in Seymour, you are close enough to consider the association that I belong to. We do some of the Valley, and work from Milford to Old Lyme on the South side, and North through Greater New Haven up to Meriden. We handle High School Varsity and Sub-varsity, Private School, Middle School and State Technical Schools (if they field teams in 2012).

We handle the same area as above for Jr. Legion and Legion, many Babe Ruth and Youth Leagues in the Summer and Fall. We have many members that officiate College and have moved to MiLB. We also have an old member who left us many years ago to attend Pro School and wound up in MLB (Ed Rapuano). He always comes back to visit us at our banquet.

We are all State of CT certified Federation umpires and affiliated with the CIAC. Our dues cover a year's membership and the yearly banquet. If you are interested, visit the website below, go to the upper left and click on TRAINING CLASS, then click on member application.

Greater New Haven Baseball Umpires Association

If you need information on the other boards in CT >>>> CIAC Officials Directory. Ray Faustich will be able to help you with the other boards contact information.

Thanks Oz, I couldn't remember exactly where Seymour was and didn't take the time to look it up either. But, I do agree they're also a good organization.
