You'll definitely be on the design team, jicecone!
I think the user should be able to choose the voices he wants the indicator to simulate, like: Bruce Froemming Madonna Saddam Hussein Jacques Chirac Britney Spears Arnold Schwarzenegger Clint Eastwood After strike 3, you could have the indicator announce, "Hasta la vista, baby," in Arnold's voice. Or, in Clint Eastwood's, "I know what you're thinking, batter. You're wondering, is it two strikes or only one? Actually, in all the excitement, I kinda forgot the count myself. Well, do you want to take the next pitch? Do you feel lucky, punk?" |
I LOVE IT.
When are we going to market. |
Mission Successful
Well I made it through the High School season without using a clicker. Only one time did I get into trouble (during a muffed up JV game of course). Told the batter and catcher the count was 2-2. Next pitch was a ball and the batter took off for first. I said No. No. That's only 3-2. First base coach looks at me shaking his head yes and holding up 3-2. Partner confirms 3-2. Batter comes back and flies out to F8. Then head coach at 3rd who is keeping track on his Palm pilot says the count was 4 balls and that the batter was correct. After recollection, I realize he was correct. OOOpps. Sorry Coach.
It took some concentration to keep track of outs. Balls and strikes were usually easy to remember. I got to where the individual pitches were easy to remember. I remembered where the strikes went through the zone... where the foul balls went, where a ball went outside the zone, I remember the passed balls... it was cool! I took several games before I quit reaching for a idiotclickercounter to start the half inning. Oh what a relief to not always have that thing in your hand and wondering whether the last pitch had been entered or not. It caused me to talk a little more and mention the number of outs more often. It made me feel more a part of the game. I highly recommend loosing yours too. :D |
Oh Ye of little faith.
Can I get an Amen. Good Job. |
