It seems that our neighbors to the north have learned well from us. I guess they're going to be a litigous society also.

A few years ago, two sets of parents sued the officials, the two schools involved, the school districts involved, the state athletic association, and just about everyone on the Eastern Seaboard. Their sons' school lost the state championship basketball game, and they claimed that lessened their little darlings' chances of a DI scholarship. The judge threw the case out.


The award is "MOST VALUABLE PLAYER", not "HIGH SCORER". The article didn't say where the two teams ended in the standings. The winner may have contributed more to his team than just scoring goals, and assisting on others.

That "crushed" thumb-sucker has bigger problems than not winning a trophy.
