Also, the PU should not wait for an appeal with an "anything & 2" count. He should immediately go for the appeal. The advanced mechanic would be the BU would come up with the appeal without a request from the PU.
If you have runners stealing, how is the BU going to have time to signal a strike or ball and be in position to make a call at either 2B or 3B?
