OT - Fan Acting Badly Gets Zapped

Police probing taser use during Phillies game - USATODAY.com

I kinda like the thought that if a fan jumps a fence and runs on the field he might get tased. Deterrent?

They don't let us bring our own handguns onto the field...I checked. Maybe they'll let us carry Tasers?

jdmara Tue May 04, 2010 03:23pm

If it keeps idiots off the fields they should use them on the managers as well :-D

At 17 years of age, even humans have amassed enough intelligence to make reasonable decisions. But then again, sometimes the lesson just has to be reinforced!!!

Oh Well.

And he had enough sense (or none at all depending on how you look at it) to tell his father he wanted to do this and did not listen to him.

He got what he deserved.

" Hi, Dad. I'm at the game and I want to do something REALLY stupid--run on the field. Any advice?"
"Go for it, son, and I'll be watching! Just don't turn your back on the guy with the taser. Good luck."

I prefer the Mike Curtis method of fan removal.

cviverito Wed May 05, 2010 08:29am

I prefer the Randy Myers method.

Catch him, cuff him, let him spend the night in the cooler, and Dad can pay to get him out in the morning. I don't think tasing was necessary.
