What is so incredible? It's Monica. A F.O.B. The person posting this is a big fan of B. I see nothing wrong with it. But of course, YOU do.

Why does every thread get political? :p

At least he's poking fun at his own party.

I believe that is properly spelled J.A.P., as in Jewish American Princess.

I would say just JAP, without the periods. However, when my business partner was telling me the story, I assumed he meant Jap since I was unaware of the term JAP, even though my girlfriend at the time was definitely the capitalized kind.

We got all that. We were just trying to make sure you pronounced it "Jay-Ay-Pea" from now on. ;)

Just so nobody confuses Jay-Ay-Pea with "Elsie Pea," my constant companion, especially in dangerous parts of town.

Indicator of NCAA game

"In the 7th or 8th of a 9 inning game visitors down 20 or so to 0."

Seriously, game over. I wouldn't have been there.

Trust me I didn't wanna be there. But had no choice. It's a 9 inning game or 2:30 drop dead time limit. If It was 2 minutes and 30 seconds that would've been great.

No run limit?

He pulls his hitter and runner into the hole and says, "We're through, we aren't playing with you out here." Game over.
While I know this is high school stuff. For you NCAA guys any advise on how this should be handled? If anything different. As I find there to be a huge difference between the pro game and the college game as far as how situations are supposed to be handled. And I'm really trying to learn anything I can about umpiring in general to keep improving.
Thanks guys

Other than field management duties, I don't know what else I could do to buy time during a long game such as this. I would have lots of reasons for looking into the dugout, looking into the bleachers after each foul ball, dusting off the plate, checking baseballs for soft spots, allowing teams full team warm-up/conference times, calling out the ground crew to fix a spot on the field or to turn on the lights.

Or else, try to appease the coach by telling him you won't look into his dugout anymore after he warns his players to behave. I know the coach may well ignore the advice, but perhaps it will take his mind away from yelling and screaming. Hey coach, getting on that bus is probably the best advice I can give you right now. Perhaps he'll find a clue about coaching on his way to the bus.
